Windows 10: How can you manually delete a user profile from Windows 11 registry?

On my Surface Pro 6 running Windows 11 Pro 23H2, I have an administrator user profile that is only partially deleted. Windows Hello still recognizes the user but it starts "Preparing Windows" then displays "We can't sign in to your account". Clicked "Sign out" but it recycled back to "Preparing Windows" again. Went into Settings, Accounts, Other Users and tried to remove the account but it shows "Can't delete account". Fortunately there is another admin user on this machine that works just fine but whenever the "partial user" wants to use the system, Windows tries to sign her in and fails

Windows 11 can't delete domain user profiles

I understand, I'm sorry that the above answer didn't work. I performed this procedure by deleting the user by regedit and then deleting the user's folder. When relogin, Windows created a new profile for the domain user. You can try the steps below:

Click Start, type regedit in the Search box and press ENTER.

Locate and click on the following registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

In the navigation pane, find the folder that starts with S-1-5 (SID key) followed by a long number.

Click each S-1-5 folder, find the ProfileImagePath entry in the details pane, and double-click to make sure this is the user account profile that has an error.

Right-click the SID you want to remove and click Delete.

Log on to the computer with the user.

 

Deleted User but Cannot Remove Profile Folder

None of this works. Silly me for deleting the profile via control panel.

So when I go to the systempropertiesadvanced, the profile is not listed.

When I go to the registry keys, the profile is not listed there either.

But the c::\users\ has the folders that I cannot delete.
