    How can you override the 30day waiting period to update security info


    I updated my bios and when my pc turned back on it said I needed to make a new pin. But it had my old phone number for the verification. I updated the number to my new number but it says I have to wait 30 days. I can’t use my pc now which means I can’t work because I work from home. Can I please get some help with the huge inconvenience

    Security Info replacement

    Hi, I have changed my security info. Now on my windows phone I can't even download any apps or view my onedrive.

    It keeps popping up the "Change anything? .... " and the "Next" button is always greyed out. can't even proceed. Do I really need to wait 30days after I change any security info to do anything? How can I solve this issue?

    Hi,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    I would suggest you to follow the steps under ‘Update security info’ in ‘Microsoft
    account security info & security codes    ’.

    Disclaimer: If you remove all your security info, there's a 30-day wait period during which we help protect sensitive parts of your account, so nobody can change your security settings or use your payment options.
    During this period, new security info can't be added but you can still use your email, Skype, OneDrive, and devices as usual. After the 30 days, you'll be notified that the wait is over and it's time to enter new security info.

    How can you override the 30day waiting period to update security info

    Changed security info and now cant access anything from Nokia Lumia

    I updated my security info a few days ago and got a message saying it will take 30days to verify change but can continue to use Microsoft accounts as normal. I always get my hotmail emails on my phone, but now when I try to check them it says about my
    security info update, there is a 'next' button at the bottom to proceed but its greyed out and I cant press it so now cant access emails. Realised its the same case of my app store updates, one drive etc. Cant wait for 30days for it to sort out. Any help would
    be appreciated!!
