  1. How come menus and taskbars are taking a while to respond?

This may be a bit hard to describe in text but in the past few days, I've been going insane dealing with this unknown issue I've been having on my laptop. Here are some examples of what has been playing upWhen I right click on most things on my screen or applications, I am presented with an empty menu outline and have to wait a few seconds for anything to show up, I can still click on a part of the menu and something will happen. It's kind of a visual issue, where the menu will not load, but it's thereWhen I use the program Audacity, I try to import a song and when the list of my songs show up

    :)

    Feature suggestion: Add right-click menu

Suggestion: Please add a Windows 7 Jump-List and/or right-click menu to the GPU-Z icon in the Windows taskbar. Possible menus in it would be "Exit" and "About GPU-Z...".
Maybe also "Switch to tab 1/Switch to tab 2/Switch to videocard 1/Switch to videocard 2" too.
Examples of programs that have such menus are ICQ, Skype, AIM.

NOTE: It seems for a right-click menu, Windows 7 is not needed - it works on WinXP and Vista too.
But even a Windows 7 Jump-list may be good enough.
    What do you think?

Windows 10 Taskbar icons missing/ not responding!

    Hello Pasindu,

Windows 10 may have encountered a system file corruption that caused this taskbar issue. For us to assist you with this, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Have you made any recent changes to your computer prior to this issue?
    • What is the current build and version of your Windows 10? To check, type in
winver on the search bar and press Enter.

Meanwhile, we suggest that restart the Windows Explorer.exe to refresh your taskbar functionality by following the steps below:

    • Open Task Manager
      by right clicking the taskbar.
    • Click More details at the bottom to expand the Task Manager window.
    • Under the Processes tab, look for Windows Explorer.
    • After selecting the Windows Explorer, click the Restart
      button at the bottom.
    • It may take a few seconds and things like your taskbar and Start menu may disappear momentarily, but when it restarts, things should behave better and you can exit Task Manager.

We'll be waiting for your reply.

How come menus and taskbars are taking a while to respond?

Start Menu / Taskbar Not Responding for 10 Minutes

Windows 10 Version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.572) - this issue has occurred the past few months

When booting up the computer, or reboot, or switching users (2 users in the house)

The Start Menu, apps on the taskbar, and action center do not respond. When right clicking on the settings gear, settings appers to open for a brief moment, then goes away. This behavior also happens when trying to click on a taskbar app.

After approximately 10 minutes, these things work normally. When opening task manager, I don't see explorer.exe listed when the behavior occurs. Is it possible that explorer.exe doesn't "get started" after the 10 or so minutes?

I'm a blind user, so the Start Menu is of great use to me.

I have read some other posts about using command prompt or powershell to run commands such as sfc, grabappspackage, etc. (sorry, I cannot remember them all). I have taken these steps, however the issue still persists.

Any assistance would be sincerely appreciated.

    Thank you
