how come the windows 10 text editor keeps stuffing up?

If I re-edit a post on a web-site, the insert-char function fails, and text is overwritten.

The cursor also shows as a wider grey line.

Resetting the web page doesn't help, I have to restart the PC.

It does this in Edge and in Chrome.

I suspect all areas where text editing is used are affected: wordpad, email client.

I have had this problem before where that is the case, but haven't checked it for this case.

In case you have been following, the "fly left" error on new files only occurs if you click under the icon after editing the text,

but not if you click above the icon... this sounds like some strange text-based editor snafu, as well.

    :)

    Text Editor on Webpage

I'm creating a website that requires an advanced text editor, similar to the word processor in Google docs. I'm planning on creating the editor from scratch, but I'm not sure what language to use. I was thinking of using a Java applet, but I'm open to other suggestions. Some of the features that are required are highlighting and drawing (such as Microsoft Paint). Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Is WordPad a text editor?

I have come across a contradiction that both notepad and WordPad are text editors. Is this true?
