Windows 10: How do access the "forgot password option" so that I can reset my password?

I need to reset my password because I am now locked out of my laptop. I have already reset my Microsoft account online but that didn't work either. The login page on the PC doesn't have the option for "forgot password" which would allow me to change my password. The PC is brand new btw I was in the process of setting it up.

No can't be changed, unless you can access the admin account in safemode.

you can also try ERD commander.

but that is in the case if the password is for OS

if its a bios password you would have to try to reset the bios by using a jumper.
Or getting a master password from the manufacturer

Lookup a program called Active Password Changer, its a bootable cd that will remove windows passwords *Smile

If it's a bios password, reset the bios *not so easy with some notebooks*
