  1. How do automatically start an app up if it needs multiple external files to fun properly?

I will upload a picture for visual representation but I have this application I want to automatically start up and I'm using the start up folder. The application needs a bunch of files outside of the application to actually run but when I copy and paste everything the application runs fine its just every other file opens also. Here is the original file with the application and the other file it needs to run. I copy and pasted all of it into the start up file, ran it, and everything opens and I don't want that. I only want the "wallpaper64" to open but everything else dose. How to do fix that?

    :)

    Vista Automatic Updating Error

    Resolution Suggestion:

    # To resolve this problem, make sure that BITS and the Automatic Updates service are started..

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

    1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

    2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

    3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

    4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

    5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

    6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

    7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

Unable to transfer multiple files to the external hard drive.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down to the issue.

    • What does it exactly means when you say larger block of files?

    • Are you referring to multiple files?

    • Which type of files are you trying to move?

    • Did you try different file formats?
As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to check if the issue persists in Safe mode.

Start your PC in safe mode in Windows - Microsoft Support

If the issue does not persists in Safe mode, I suggest you to place the computer in Clean boot state and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. Follow the Microsoft KB article to perform clean boot on the computer:

How to perform a clean boot to troubleshoot a problem in Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista
How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support

    Applies to Windows 10

Disclaimer: After you have finished troubleshooting, follow these steps from section “How to reset the computer to start as usual after clean boot troubleshooting” to reset the
    computer to start as usual.

If the issue persists, I suggest you to run DISM and check if it helps.

Hope the information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance. We will be happy to help.

    Thank you.
