Windows 10: How do I access my inbox emails when task manager says “checking deleted items for new messages

First, I couldn’t access my windows live Mail account because my password all of a sudden wouldn’t work. Finally reset password no when I try to access inbox 1064 messages windows live says it is executing task checking for new messages but it doesn’t ever complete or make any progress, I don’t know how this task even got started and I cannot see any of the messages it shows in my inbox. It just says no messages available please help. This is extremely frustrating.

New emails link to old emails and they all show in the inbox

• How many user account you have configured in the Windows Mail app?
• What do you mean by “New emails link to old emails”?

If you have configured more than one user account in the Windows Mail app then, I would suggest you to switch the user accounts and check the emails in the inbox.

Follow the below steps to switch the user accounts in the Windows Mail app:

• Open the Mail app.
• Under the Accounts select one user account and check the
  Inbox under Folders.

If the issue still persist then, I would recommend you to delete and reconfigure the account.

Nokia Messaging service is being phased out. While all active mailboxes will continue using the service, all the new mailboxes are now being connected directly to the mail server. So, it may be that you are now directly connected to the email server and
you need to manually set up a sync to the deleted items folder.



To sync subfolders perform the following steps:

• Go to Mail.
• Open your Inbox.
• Tap the Inbox on the top of the screen.
  
• Swipe the list and select Folders, and Folder list opens.
  
• Select the folder you would like to sync.
