Windows 10: How do I access my laptop files when the display system is broken and the network file has...

Hello, my laptops graphics card is broken so I can’t use it anymore but when I tried to access it though the network it wouldn’t let me because I forgot my password… any and all help would be appreciated!

LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied.

I am trying to share a folder on a LAPTOP. I have other a number of other systems that have folders Shared and they work fine, but with this one I get the error "LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied." when I try to access it from a different Win10 system. So I went thru the entire "How to Share Files and Folders Over a Network in Windows 10" tutorial step by step. File and Print Sharing is enabled, SMB1.0 client & server are running, and Everyone has Full Access to the Share. Still get the error. I have tried it with the Network Public and Private, with the same result. Any suggestions ? Microsoft Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042

 

File Sharing

Do you have a handy site I can read regarding file sharing across my home network?

I have a laptop for work that is a part of a different workgroup.

I have 2 desktop computers on the same workgroup. They all have different user names and accounts.

One Desktop (of the 2) is running xp pro, and the other xp home.

I want to be able to file share documents without opening them up to Everyone, and that seems to be the only way I can gain access to the files.

I wanted to make it so that you would need to provide a user name and password that matched the computer you were trying to access the files’ user account. At work, that is what happens when I try to access a network drive because my laptop’s user name is different then what they gave me to access the network. A dialog box appears, I put in my network name and I’m in.

Batch file to ping network

Hi Guys,

I need some help writing a batch file to test network connectivity for various locations.
Basically we are transitioning to from an existing network provider to a new network provider.

What I would like the script to do

Ping a list of IP address and then output the results into a simple text file of each IP Address.

The text file ideally should just display
something along the lines of

ping www.google.com Successful

or

ping www.google.com Unsuccessful

This is what I have so far but it is a bit broken.
