Windows 10: How do I access my local account on Windows 11 after signing in with a work or school account?

I set up my computer with a local admin account not a Microsoft account or a "work or school account" on Windows 11 Enterprise. Then I added a work account, which I gave standard privileges not an admin. Now, when I go to the login screen, I'm only given access to "work or school" accounts, and I can't find the option to log into my local account anywhere and entering it manually under username and password doesn't work. According to Settings, the admin account still exists, but I can't figure out how to log into it. This is an issue, since I will need admin privileges to do certain stuf

Local Account and Store Access

Using step 5 in the tutorial below should work for you to sign in to the Store with your Microsoft account while staying signed in to Windows with your local account.

Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are

• Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
• No Internet connection during the install
• static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)

 

Can't add a school account?

Thank you for the update and apologies for late response.

• Are you trying to setup school account in Mail app?

In order to access Mail app, you need sign-in to your computer using Microsoft Account. You cannot use Mail app in Local account. May be this is the reason, it works fine with the user account signed-in with Microsoft Account.
