    How do I access Phone Link when it is giving me error code?


    I am trying to access Phone Link in settings, but I keep getting this message coming up when I click open: "A COM call to an ASTA was blocked because the call chain originated in or passed through another ASTA. This call pattern is deadlock-prone and disallowed by apartment call control." I have tried other methods including opening QR codes that just send me to Microsoft's instruction page.

    Phone Link Gives Invalid QR Code?

    Hi Brett,

    Kayece here, An Independent advisor and a user just like you. I will be happy to assist you today.

    I understand that you are unable to use the phone link since it gives "Invalid QR Code" error. Please restart both of your device then open the Phone link app on both devices and try to scan the code again on your Phone link app in your Android phone.

    If the above does now work, I suggest to remove the devices on both phone link app and start to set-up Phone link again.

    Supported phones for Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Mobile

    Your list confirms my phone is eligible, Lumia 521. The windows Insider App fails after ~ 15 seconds, restores data and gives me error 80073cf9. I trouble shot this and went thru all the steps mentioned on several websites including MS without any luck. Short of a hard reset, this is where I am now. Suggestions appreciated.

    When my phone fails to upgrade I just keep trying. One upgrade took 3 or 4 tries.
