    How do I activate my new work Surface laptop that came with a home license


    We use Intune for our Windows MDM and my Surface was set up with it. In System > Activation I can see that I'm now on Windows 11 Enterprise. However, it is also showing that my license is not active. Does this have to do with the fact that the Surface came with a Windows Home license rather than Pro? How should I resolve this?Thanks.

    Windows 11 Pro license not staying activated

    We purchased a Windows 11 Pro license to replace the home license that came with the Microsoft Surface Laptop we bought for a new staffer. The license does not want to stay activated. We went through the process to do Windows updates. Activate the new Pro license. Did then all updated. Then I logged in with a abusiveness account. This is the process we went through for previous laptops. The only issue that the license does not want to stay activated. We also noticed the license type changed between Pro and Enterprise.

    Transfer digital Windows Pro license to new computer

    I had a major failure on a Dell laptop that had Windows Home on it when I purchased it. I upgraded it to Windows Pro through the Windows Store and received a digital license. I purchased a new Surface Pro that came with Windows Home and I would like to move the Pro license from the Dell machine to the new Surface Pro.

    I can see the Dell computer listed in my account and it shows that it has a Windows Pro license. I can't see any way to move the Pro license to the new computer.
