Windows 10: How do I ACTUALLY copy user settings from one device to another (Sync Your Settings)?

I've bought a new Windows 10 laptop, and of course I want to copy all of my settings over from my old laptop to the new one to save a lot of time (I'm not worried about the files as I can do those myself, just the settings). I've heard of the "Sync Your Settings" feature but I can't seem to get it to work and Google has been no help whatsoever.

As far as I'm concerned with the sync setting, you sign in to one laptop, tick all the boxes (as described throughout the several unhelpful google results) and your user settings will be synced to your Microsoft account. Then if you sign in to another device with that same Microsoft account, as far as I'm concerned those settings should be applied to your new PC.

I've had Sync Your Settings enabled on my old laptop since I first set it up. I powered on my new laptop yesterday, updated both laptops, signed in with my Microsoft account and enabled the sync features, expecting my previously-configured settings to be applied to the new laptop. However, I'm pretty sure it hasn't updated all of my settings. I know for a fact my theme hasn't been synced across.

Am I correct in thinking this is how the "Sync Your Settings" feature works? How can I actually copy all the settings across? Or will I have to manually change all of the settings to that of my old laptop? (I don't want to download additional software to do the job for me - I either want to sync them across or just change them manually if I have to)

Sound card amplification settings

Yeah unfortunately ASUS and Realtek are not stepping up and fixing this it seems. Wherever I see such problems mentioned on forums some users are suggesting just uninstalling the Realtek driver and using the Windows audio driver.

 

Windows 10 User Account Settings Stopped Syncing Across Devices

Hello Rafael, I hope you had a good holiday.

I have performed the steps you suggested (again), and there is no change: user account and Windows 10 settings are not syncing, even after 12 hours.

However, I now have some new information:

In order to determine whether this issue was Windows-related or related to our Microsoft accounts, I performed the following test on several machines:

• I added user profiles on affected computers tied to a different Microsoft account, one not associated with my main Microsoft account or part of my Microsoft Family Safety group.
  
• On all of these devices, this account synced settings correctly, and right away (little delay).
  
• However, on these same devices, my own account (and other accounts tied to my family),
  continued not to sync, as previously reported.

Therefore, I now believe that this issue is not Windows-related, but specific to our Microsoft accounts. My son is tied to my Family Safety group, so I suspect this issue is affecting all of us.

Is it possible that you can connect me with an escalation agent in Microsoft Account support to look into this further?

Sync My Settings Not Syncing

I had a problem previously related to my sync setting being greyed out. Now i have my 2 pcs logged in with a online Microsoft account, all the sync settings are turned on with both pc's. Still it does not seem to be syncing. Any suggestions guys?
