Windows 10: How do I add an input device in Windows Pro 11 RDP?

Good morning, I’m trying to listen to a radio over RDP using Windows Pro 11. Under:System-Sound-Input… there are “No input devices found.” Underevice manager-Audio inputs and outputs, I only have remote audioNOW, under Sound, Video and game controllers: Intel R, Synaptics, USB audio. I’m trying to get my USB device to be recognized as an Input under when in RDP. Anyone have any advice?

RDP stopped working after Win 11 Pro activation

I initially upgraded my new Win 11 Home to Pro. After using RDP to set it up, the new user activated Win 11 Pro and RDP stopped working.

 

No audio input picked up in RDP session (win10)

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that it could be frustrating that the PC’s audio input is not being picked up by the remote machine. You could check with the steps below and see if it works for you.

1. Press the ‘Windows’ key and ‘R’ key, this will open the run dialogue box.
   
2. Type in ‘RDP’ and press enter, this will open a window for the ‘Remote Desktop Connection’.
   
3. Click on ‘More options’.
   
4. Click on ‘Local Resources’ tab, under 'Remote audio', click on ‘Settings’.
   
5. This will open a small window, under ‘Remote audio playback’, select the ‘Play on remote computer’ and click on ‘Ok’.

As the issue is related to the ‘Remote Desktop’, if the issue persists, it would require more troubleshooting and it is more appropriate to be posted in IT Pro ‘TechNet’
forums, where we have support professionals who are well equipped with the knowledge on issues with RDP.

Weird RDP behavior in Windows 11

Hi,

what's wrong with RDP in Windows 11? I've never had so many problems with RDP in all computers together, than now with one single Windows 11 PC. I have service PC, which is always on for RDP purposes, so I can login remotely from field. Upgraded it to Windows 11 and I regret decision.

What's happening?

Well, as I am always logged-in and have really gozillion of apps opened, I only lock computer, so I can work on those apps via RDP all the time. But now with Windows 11 it is not possible anymore:

• SOMETIMES I land in new profile, empty login, while my active login I can see under logged-in users and I CAN switch to this login.
  
• OTHER TIMES I land in new profile, empty login, and there's no sign of my business login, all apps are closed and it goes up to 100 f-words per minute, as I need to reopen all tasks again.
  
• But when I come back from field to this PC, I cannot login back to any session I opened via RDP, but can only login to empty login, and here goes opening all apps again and neighbors can hear my yelling
  

How can I switch back this stupid RDP behavior back to how it worked in Windows 10?
