    How do I add the microsoft print to pdf printer back when I do not have the option listed...


    I recently removed the microsoft print to pdf printer device from my settings because apparently it was causing some problems to the secure exam browser that I taking the test on. I need this now and I followed the steps on an thread that tells you how to reinstall it. But the problem is I cannot find the microsoft print to pdf as one of the options listed under the manufacturer. What do I do? Additionally, I also removed an imaging device which I think it might be scsr or scsp scanning device. I'm not too sure on the name but I uninstalled that as well from my device drivers as the exam brows

    Print to PDF missing in Printer List

    Hi William,

    We suggest that you disable and re-enable the Print to PDF feature. Here are the steps:

    • Click on the Start menu and type in Windows Features.
    • Choose Turn Windows features on or off.
    • On the next window, find Microsoft Print to PDF and disable it. Click
      OK to save changes.
    • Restart your PC.
    • Repeat the same steps to re-enable Microsoft Print to PDF.
    If the issue persists, we suggest that you perform the troubleshooting steps suggested on the link below under
    Advanced:

    Fix printer problems

    Thanks for your help. I was browsing the web the other day and I found a page called FINAL DRAFT. They had a set of instructions for reinstalling the Microsoft Print to PDF utility that worked great for me. Problem solved.
