Windows 10: how do i authorize downloads or remove the need to authorize them ?

so today i did a vulnerability scan on bitdefender and i did everything it asked me to do one of those thing were that i would require authorization to download now i dont know how to turn it off or authorize them . i searched the internet for solution but none of them worked or told me where to find the setting to change that

Remove Word .doc Authors

Thank you for your effort. But I tried the solution from Ravi Shankar--but it doesn't work as the author list still exists. To see the author names I just type a letter of the alphabet into the control. The method from Shankar just removes the current name from view--but not from the list. And there are no entries in my contact list--so I'm not sure where the Authors are stored.

BTW: The problem exists with both .doc and .docx files.

 

Remove Word .doc Authors

I have Windows 10 Pro (x64) Version 21H2 (build 19044.1526)

I have some Microsoft Office 2000 .doc's from previous years.
One of them is a Microsoft Word 97-2003 Document.
I just removed the author from it using my test PC.
Before finding out if it works for you, create a system image backup along with a personal copy of your data you do not want to lose.

First of all, find only one of your .doc documents to work with.
Do not open it, scroll down and click on Properties.
Click on the Details tab.
Click on the Remove Properties and Personal Information link.




On the following screen, fill in the dot to Remove the following properties from this file.
Check the Authors box. Click on OK.




I closed out what I had done. When back in to view the Authors entry and Authors was now removed.




If it wasn't successful for you, try again.
You might find I might have skipped a step that I can't recall right now and you might have to investigate what is needed.

If it was successful, verify whether or not your other .doc documents or any other Word documents were globally affected in the same way.

Depending on what you find out, this is where your system image backup along with a personal copy of your data you do not want to lose might be necessary to call on.

It deals with Word 2016 & 2013 users which are not .doc's but I would see if it would work for me as an optional solution
