    How do I change a windows account's name and email?


    We are changing personnel. How do I keep my Windows account administrator but change the name, email, etc?

    Hello Naresh!

    To change your name in your Windows Live email account, you can follow these steps:

    Sign in to your Windows Live email account.

    Click on your profile picture or initial, which is located in the top right corner of the screen.

    Select "View account" from the drop-down menu.

    On the Microsoft account page, click on "Edit name" under your name.

    Type in the new name you would like to use.

    Click on the "Save" button to apply the changes.

    Once you complete these steps, your new name will be updated on your Windows Live email account. Please note that it may take some time for the changes to appear across all Microsoft services. Once you change your name in your Windows Live email account,

    Unauthorized Emails from my account?

    It is more than likely that your email account was hacked, either by a virus sniffing your password, or just simply hacked.

    Either way, change your password on your email account. Unfortunately the damage by already be done. They already have your contact list and your email address associated with that contact list. There is nothing stopping them from sending out emails using their own SMTP servers to everyone on your contact list and claiming the emails are from your email address. They don't actually have to have access to your yahoo account or even any yahoo server to send emails to people that come from your address.

    While sending mail, does not show my name, instead shows my email address

    I would suggest you to follow the steps to change the Account display in Mail app:

    1. Open Mail app

    2. Select “settings”.

    3. Under settings select “Manage Account”.

    4. Click on the Account name

    5. Change the Account name

    If still not working, try the steps below:

    • In the Mail app, open Settings (the gear icon).
    • Click 'Manage Accounts'
    • Select the account you want to change the outgoing display name for
    • Click 'options for syncing email, contacts, and calendar'
    • in the account sync settings, there should be a 'Your name' text field that is used as the display name for outgoing emails.
