Windows 10: How do I change my camera/video settings to non-mirrored? I have a Microsoft Surface Laptop...

Hi I have a Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 and tried to use the camera app today to make a recording. After reviewing the recording I noticed that the video flipped and it's not how I saw myself when I was recording. I already tried looking around for the camera settings but have no luck.

Hi,

You may flip the camera on your Surface by going in to the camera app settings. Kindly refer to the steps below:

• Open the Camera App on your Surface.
• Swipe down from the top of the camera window (this brings up the Camera Options, as seen below.)
• Tap Change Camera.
  
• Take picture as usual.
• Tap Change Camera again if you would like the camera to facing you.

Windows on my Microsoft Surface laptop no longer sees my in-built camera "no cameras attached"

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your Surface laptop's camera. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:



1. Restart your Surface laptop and check if the camera is detected.



2. Check if the camera is enabled in the Device Manager. To do this, right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager. Look for the camera under Imaging devices. If it's not there, try scanning for hardware changes by clicking on the Action menu and selecting Scan for hardware changes.



3. Check if the camera privacy settings are turned on. To do this, go to Settings > Privacy > Camera and make sure that the toggle switch is turned on.



4. Try updating the camera driver. To do this, go to Device Manager, right-click on the camera and select Update driver. You can also download the latest driver from the Microsoft website.



If none of the steps work, please click on Start and type Camera and then please attach a screenshot of what you see when you click on that.
