Im struggling with changing my decimal format,

To change the decimal symbol back to a period, follow these steps:

• In Control Panel, click Region. Click on Advance settings.
• Click the Number tab.
• Change the Decimal Symbol setting to a period (.).
• Click OK.

Please let us know if the issue still persists.

 

Changing Time Format

There's a possibility that the set up time format in your computer Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) is military time. To have this checked, you can try to reset the time of your computer through Control Panel. See the steps below on how to do
so:

• Open Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region >
  Change date, time, or number formats. This would open the
  Region window.
• From there, click on Additional settings at the bottom part. It will open the Customize Format.
• Click Reset; then, OK.

The steps should work; however, if not, we suggest that you contact manufacturer and have the BIOS time checked.

Wrong decimal number format

Hi

I have the problem on my Windows Phone 8.1, that after changeing the language format to CH-DE, I get always a comma , instead of a point . in decimal numbers.

I have this after the last change of the regional format. In earlier versions, when I used CH-DE, that worked fine.

As I have read in another thread, Microsft once delivered out a wrong regional format for CH-DE. I guess my original language file, which was correct, has been overwritten with that bad one.

Question 1: Is there any possibility in Mobile to change only the numeric format of a regional setting. On a Windows desktop system, this is possible by customizing regional settings.

Questions 2: Where can the regional format files can be found on a Windows Mobile system? I think to change this wrong file with a text or binary editor by hand.
