    Hello, I hope you're doing well. I'm contacting you because I'm facing an issue with Fortnite. Recently, I was HWID banned, and I believe it was due to my brother's actions. He had previously cheated on the same computer, but he got rid of the cheats, and I was still able to play games without any issues. However, when I decided to reinstall Windows for a fresh start, I got banned for no apparent reason, even though I never used any cheats. I feel like this is unfair, and I'm wondering if there's a safe way to change my HWID so that I can play Fortnite again without being banned. I would app

    What are the dangers of changing HWID?

    So I've heard a lot about HWID spoofers, and I understand that some of them do change the HWID instead of masking it.

    But I've seen in another post that going directly into the registry to change it can actually be risky to your device. Because of this, I now ask for the risks in more detail.

    p.s. No, this is not a question on how to get unbanned from games which ban the computer hardware id
