How do I change my monitor Aspect Ratio? This questions seems to come up every time there is a new update, but looks like since the update of Feb 2022, Microsoft has again changed or hidden how to do it.Most answers relate to right clicking the desktop and going to graphic card, or going into personalize and customization, all of which options no longer exist.So here we got again..Does anyone know how to change the Aspect Ratio of a monitor now?Microsoft, why? Why do you always change it? what is the point?

Change monitor aspect ratio

The aspect ratio of your monitor is fixed and can't be changed, because it depends on the arrangement of the pixels on the screen.

When you display an image on your monitor whose aspect ratio is different from the aspect ratio of your monitor, what you'll see depends on how different the aspect ratios are. Usually, you see black bars on the top and the bottom of the screen, or on the
left and the right, a familiar appearance known as 'letterboxing.'

 

How to change monitor aspect ratio without centering screen

I understand your concern, make sure you are logged in as admin. After that please follow the steps below and check the aspect ratio.

  Right click on Desktop.
  
• 
  Click on Personalize.
  
• 
  Advanced display settings,
  
• 
  Display Adapter properties
  
• 
  Monitor>scaling>Change Aspect Ratio.
