Windows 10: How do I change my pin if I can't log in or access the account.

*** Email address is removed for privacy *** never set the pin never made a pin and the only pin I ever use does not work. Been trying to contact anybody to help.

* Search Settings under start menu panel or (keyboard shortcut: Windows + I) > Accounts > Sign-in options.

* Click the Change button under PIN.

* Enter your current PIN; then, enter and confirm the new PIN underneath.

* Tap I forgot my PIN.

* Enter your Microsoft account password; then, set up the new Pin.

  Sign-in options.
• Under PIN, click on Change.
• Enter your current PIN, enter and confirm the new PIN, then click OK.

Changing password back to a 4 digit pin

    Are you able to access the desktop or able to login as you are telling that it tells that you are entering the incorrect password?

I suggest you to sign out from the current account, restart the computer and log in with Microsoft Account and please follow the below steps.

• Press Windows + I keys to open
  settings menu.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• Click on Add under PIN.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to create Pin.
• Sign out and try to sign in again using PIN as your Sign in option.
