Windows 10: how do I change my settings to allow turbotax 2024 to run on my computer? I downloaded it...

I downloaded the turbotax 2024 on my computer and it says I need to change permission on the app. I tried finding the area to change it and allow me to use the Turbotax 2024 but cannot find it. I used turbotax last year with no problems.

Turbotax Download

I have Windows 11 Home running in S mode on a brand new computer. I've purchased Turbotax online and it won't let me install it without turning off "S mode". Is there a workaround? It won't let me run as administrator.

I see Turbotax "guide" is in the Microsoft app store, for purchase, but I don't really need the guide. It seems to me if any Turbotax app is in the app store, I should be able to install Turbotax without turning off S mode.

Any ideas?

Cannot run new or old installations of turbotax after upgrade to Win 10

This issue might occur if the turbotax application is not compatible to run on Windows 10.

I suggest you to try installing the turbotax in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Note: Applies to Windows 10 as well.



For the issue related to booting the system, I suggest you to perform startup repair and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Select Advance Option.
  
• 
  Select Startup Repair.
  
• 
  Follow the on Screen instruction.
