Windows 10: How do I change my time zone manually since that option is greyed out even if I turn off...

I've been restarting my computer multiples times while the set time zone automatically is turned off and on, I've also tried different types of methods but so far the only way I was able to change my time zone was by going to my Command Prompt. This would be a lot simpler if my time zone could be changed from the settings of Windows 10.

Hi Dean,

Try the classic “Date and Time” applet in the classic Control Panel as a workaround.

You can launch it via Control Panel or run timedate.cpl via the Run dialog.

cannot change time zone

The time zone was set automatically and is an hour behind. I cannot change it even when logged in as administrator. I have tried doing it through the control panel and CMD. For some reason regardless of if the time is set manually or automatically, i cannot have it adjust to daylight saving time and the option to change the time zone is greyed out.

Cool, thanks for the great instructions. I just followed all those steps, and all it seemed to do was turn set time zone automatically back on. I assume that this is what it was intended to do, but does that fix the problem of randomly changing time zones?
