    How do I change phone number with GroupMe


    I was told by someone with Microsoft or GroupMe that I could use another person's phone number to sign up since I don't have smart phone. I was told I could change phone number after I signed in to my home phone. It won't fix number since it wants to send text. You can't send text to a landline.I need phone number fixed to my home phone instead of other person's phone number.Can someone fix it for me?

    GroupMe without a phone number?

    I want to use GroupMe to communicate with my family. All have smart devices, but not all have phones/phone numbers. Can you use the service without a phone number?

    To verify your number if you didn't receive a PIN:

    1. Keep the GroupMe app on the PIN screen. If you go through the registration process again, it will generate a new PIN, which could make things confusing.
    2. Contact support and let us know you’re having trouble receiving your PIN. Make sure to include your phone number.

    How do I change phone number with GroupMe

    There is a GroupMe account with my daughter's phone number but someone else's email. She cannot receive the reset emails so how can she create her own account?

    It seems like you have an issue recovering your GroupMe account. Let’s work together in finding the best resolution to this issue.

    Here are the steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    • Go to the Forgot Password page on GroupMe.
    • Enter your daughter’s phone number.
    • Select ‘Reset password’, then follow the instructions.
    If your daughter still can’t access her account after these steps, I recommend contacting GroupMe Support. They should be able to help you recover the account.

    Remember, it’s important to keep your personal information secure. In the future, consider enabling two-step verification for added security. This will require re-verification of the phone number each time two-step verification is turned off or on again.
