Windows 10: How do i change the age on my account without the family organizer?

My family has had a lot of issues, and due to such, when my dad created my Microsoft account for me as a teenager, he put my birthdate in 2011 instead of 2003. i am 20 years old now, and i have used this account for everything. unfortunately, these family settings restrictions have locked me out of my personal computer, as well as a government issued laptop i used for the army. i am tired of being blocked from using my devices and need to change my birth date, but it won't let me do that without consent from the family organizer. I am not a priority in his life, and he doesn't remember the log

Based on your description, you are being logged out automatically on your own Microsoft account since you initiated in logging in your Mothers Microsoft account, which is normal since you can only use one Microsoft account per browser.

If you are the organizer of this Family Group, you can list your Mothers account as Child temporarily then change the account type to Adult manually after. You can follow the steps below to change it manually:

To change a child account to an adult account in your family group, you’ll need to follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your account at family.microsoft.com.
   
2. Find the child account that you want to change.
   
3. Click on “Manage”.
   
4. Click on “Change settings”.
   
5. Under “Account type”, select “Adult”.
   
6. Click on “Save”.
   

If you’re not the organizer of the family group, you’ll need to ask the organizer to make the change for you.

How do I change the primary alias of a family member's account?

How do I change the primary alias of a family member's account? It says "your organization's policy prevent you from changing your primary alias."

When I go to the organizer's account, I can't see where I can change the policy. The birthdate on the family member's account is correct and the family member is over 18 years of age.

I assume you are not in a family group with an adult organizer right? If you are, then your family group organizer will have to change this information for you.

Otherwise, you can use this interactive instruction to change the DOB. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-bil...

Click on Start, and it will walk you through a few steps. The policy can be different for different regions/countries. So please make sure you select your country first, then for age, choose "Younger than 13". Then under "was this information helpful", you can choose "there's no adult account available". It should then give you a link to sign in to trigger the consent process by allowing you to add an adult account as family organizer. Then you can use the family organizer account to change your information, and after that you can leave the family group.
