Windows 10: how do I change the date format in mail application that came with windows?

The Mail application for windows shows emails received as mm-dd-yyyy, of course, id like to change this to dd-mm-yyyy but I couldn't see how to.

  Click on the Date and time at the right bottom corner of your screen.
