    How do I change the default author name in Microsoft Print to PDF documents?


    When I use Microsoft Print to PDF, the author of the document is not my name. It's just the first 5 letters of my name, all in lower-case letters. I want my full name to display by default the same name that's associated with my Microsoft account. Can someone please tell me how to accomplish this?

    open printed document after microsoft print to pdf

    With printing to Adobe Acrobat the document opens by default after printing. When using Microsoft Print to PDF it just saves it where specified but does not open the document. Is there a way to set it so it automatically opens the document after printing
    it using Microsoft Print to PDF?

    How do I change the default author name in Microsoft Print to PDF documents?

    Microsoft print to PDF

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: control printers

    Hit Enter

    Delete the Microsoft Print to PDF printer.

    In the same window, click Add printer. Click The printer that I want isn’t listed.

    Click Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings then click Next

    Select Use an existing port then click in the list box then select FILE: (Print to File)

    Scroll down and select Microsoft under Manufacturer then scroll down and select Microsoft Print to PDF under Printers then click Next

    Give the printer a name or leave the default, click Next. It should now appear as an available printer.
