  1. How do I change the default resolution when saving a PNG?

I have created a simple, self-contained, static web page to create my own barcodes. My use is behind a firewall, hence the need for it to be self-contained. I want to save my image as a 600dpi PNG. My image is created with 600dpi as the dimensions. I have everything working acceptably except when the PNG file is downloaded and I examine the image properties using my Windows 11 Photo app, the resolution is 96dpi. The width & height are correct for the dimensions I want the image to print at, but only when the resolution is 600dpi. We need not quibble over my use of 600dpi vs 300dpi. That's

Recent (Save Files) - Change Default Settings to OneDrive

    Hello -
Thanks for the return. Before I undertake changing the Registry, I have a question.
The steps in my Registry, for my version of Windows 10, were a bit different, but I think I eventually got to the right spot.
The last step is to change the number of places you want to list in Recent Places. In my case, the default Max Display listed 50 as the number. So, if I were to change that number, how do I know the Save As page will be one of those places? Or, a similar question, will this registry change delete the tab Recent from my Save As page? This is what I would like to happen.
When I received my computer in Nov. 2016, the Recent tab was not listed in the Save As page. Something caused it to be added over time. Which brings me to this second question. Would there be any benefit in deleting the changed registry listing and reverting back to the default listing? See attachment.

  3. Resolution change problem

    Hi Miles,

Booting your computer into safe mode may help resolve the issue. Safe mode will adjust your computer's resolution back to default, thus make your monitor or tv work again. Follow the steps below:

    • Power On your PC.
    • Press F8 during the first 10-15 seconds of your computer booting up.
    • Advance Boot Options should load, select Safe Mode.
    • Once in Safe Mode, try adjusting the resolution settings.
    • Restart your computer.
If the issue still persists after doing the steps, we suggest using another monitor to help resolve the issue.

Get back to us with the outcome so we can help you out further.
