Windows 10: How do I choose a custom colour for the folder back ground'?

I can select some custom colours but i can only see an option to have either a black background, this looks odd, or white this is too bright.


I normally like a dark theme but not black, i need grey. How is it done?

I some how changed my back ground colour which is now Dark Grey

I cannot see the screen soooo dark

I have tried every thing I know to change this colour with a failure (not toooo smart)

I want to have a coloured Back ground and the Icons red blue orange whatever so I can see them

They use to show up in a mixture of colours and I could see them

At present the back ground is white /grey the Icons are grey /Black on the Task bar and I cannot see them

They were colourful before before I some how changed them into grey Black

Should you try to look at photo's of clothes they all are grey /Black and have no Idea what the colours are in real life

I tried to show my wife some clothes eg Tops no idea what the colours are (saves money as she cannot pick them)
