  1. How do I close the Windows Photo App without using Task Manager

The windows photo app (I pretty much only use it when I open photos sent to me via e-mail in Outlook), is causing me problems with its location and lack of control icons. I use multiple displays, but the app opens with the top of the app (containing the control buttons for slideshow and rotation) halfway off my screen. I am unable to move it. I don't know if above those buttons are the icons for close, minimize, or maximize, as I can't pull the app down to look or if those functions are just missing from the app. Because the only way I have to close the app is to use the task manager, I almost never use the app and get frustrated when it pops up as the default jpg manager for Outlook.

Is there a way that I can gain the ability to close/minimize/maximize the Photos app? Is there a way I can move it?

The version I have is 17.313.10010.2000

I can't find a setting to change, and, once I get into the settings, I can't get back into the rest of the app unless I close it via Task Manager and restart.

    :)

  2. where is task manager in windows phone

First of all i love windows, <3

    but

I want to ask where is task manager in windows phone :-(.

A task manager is very helpful and important app (as in windows pc).

If android and ios can provide an app similar to task manager then why not in windows phone.

I want to suggest you to build a task manager app which should show the following info

    • list of all running apps
    • Info about cpu usage and Ram usage (just like in windows pc)
    • A button which says close all apps . Because i don't want to close all apps one by one
    • Processes running in background.
    • Network information (like in windows pc)
so Microsoft, are you planning to build an like this How do I close the Windows Photo App without using Task Manager :) .

    Waiting for your answer

    Close Porgramme and Task Manager

There is really no need for the most part to close an app. WP7 does a pretty good job of managing memory. With some apps, you can simply tap the back button to close it. IE though will always remember the last page you are on, even if you reboot the phone,
so it may seem like it is always running.

You can also tap-hold the back button and see a list of apps actually running in memory.

There is no task manager for the user to access like you'd think of in Windows Mobile or on the desktop.

How do I close the Windows Photo App without using Task Manager

Windows 10--> app store, photo <--- not working

I had another problem, but Method 3 worked:

    Method 3:

I would recommend you to uninstall the Photo app using Windows PowerShell command and reinstall using the Windows store. Follow the below steps.

    • Open the Start menu, type Windows PowerShell in the search bar.

    • Right click on the Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator.

    • Enter the below command to uninstall the Photo app.
    • get-appxpackage *Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage
After performing the above steps, install the Photo app from the Windows store.

    Problem:

When I closed the Photos App, the task continued to run in the background (with around 30% CPU load) and if I clicked on its tile to re-open it, it would not open. Only if I killed the process with the Task Manager it would open again, but the same issue
would reappear when I closed it.
