    How do I combine a disk that was used for system backup into one disk?


    I have s dis that was used for a System Backup and I want to remove all Recovery partitions and make one diskI know how to extend partitions, but I have no Idea what must be done in this instance to make one Basic Data Partition. Any help would be greatly ap-preciated.

    Combining Disk 1 and 2 on windows disk management?

    Unfortunately you cannot combine them while one of them is system disk.

    I'd suggest to change nothing, you may use three volumes with same success as two ones.

    Can't safely remove external disk

    In reference to the steps of your suggestions:

    • The issue is specific to the particular disk and it started after I've used the disk to save the System image backup (created with the Control Panel > File History tool).
    • I didn't disable any windows Service. I'm just wondering if there is any to disable.
    • Safe boot with networking, or clean boot doesn't resolve the issue.

    I was going by other advice and articles that suggest that backing up under Update and security/backup is now the way to go. I will try your suggestion.
