Windows 10: How Do I Completely Remove the Microsoft Log-In and Use My Computer Without You Controlling Me?

Pretty simple. I want to open my computer and use it. No log-in to Microsoft at all. I don't want the tracking, and the security system that randomly shuts down my access is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE and a really really really terrible security protocol.So I want to wipe that log-in and use my computer WITHOUT logging in. No "permanent" log-in that doesn't shut off. I want to operate in PRIVACY. Just Windows without being tethered to your control systems.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

I suggest you to log into account.microsoft.com and check whether the account is listed there.

I also suggest you to follow the steps below to remove the account and check if it helps.

• Press Windows +R to open run command.
• Type netplwiz.
• In the dialogue box that appears. Select the account that you wish to remove.
• Select remove.
