  1. How do I completely uninstall OneDrive so it DOES NOT reinstall on the next boot?

I completely uninstalled OneDrive from my computer which included all the registry entries, hidden folders, everything - including uninstalling obviously. Search the my computer there after and nothing related to OneDrive would come up. The next time I booted it not only reinstalled but took upon itself to sync all my information. I do not want any form of cloud service linked to my computer.HOW DO I COMPLETELY AND PERMANENTLY REMOVE ONEDRIVE ??? !!!!

    :)

  2. Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

  3. REINSTALL ONEDRIVE

Try these steps out and let me know how it goes:

    • Right-click Start button, choose Run
    • Type appwiz.cpl and click OK
    • Find "Microsoft OneDrive" in the list and uninstall it
    • Restart your computer
    • Go to the
      OneDrive Download Page here
and click the "need to reinstall?" link on the page to get the new installer
    • Let me know if the installer has any trouble this time

How do I completely uninstall OneDrive so it DOES NOT reinstall on the next boot?

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond How do I completely uninstall OneDrive so it DOES NOT reinstall on the next boot? :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
