Windows 10: how do i configure the windows 10 mslldp service to advertise hostname instead of mac address

I've noticed that most 90% of the windows 11 pc's advertise there host name in the Chassis ID LLDP information and all our windows 10 pc's and a small handful of windows 11 pc's advertise only there mac address, how to i push out a setting via gpo to make all windows 10 and 11 pc's advertise there hostname in the lldp information?

some wlan are configured to let you in if you have a mac address they have in the white list

when you 1st try to connect on such a wlan you are refused, but the router keep your mac address in the log

the admin can then decide letting you in (putting your mac in the white list) ... but if the router cannot asssociate a mac with an hostname the admin cannot know who he is letting in

(talking about shared wlan of course)

 

Windows 10 changing MAC Address and remove Machine GUID

I need to change it because i've been banned from an online games for no reason and the admin advice me to do this step:
1. Change MAC address with TMAC
2. Change the hostname in regedit
3. Removing random number in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\xxxx and last one
4. Removing machine GUID in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography
That's step i need to do, to get unbanned. But i afraid all of step above could harm my computer because of changing registry.

 

Set the N95's hostname

Hi,

How would I be able to set the hostname for the N95 similar to a PCs computer name? When viewing the dhcp client list on a dhcp server, the N95 shows up as having no hostname. The MAC address, along with the assigned IP address is listed though.

Any ideas? So far I have only seen how to assign a name to the phone for bluetooth purposes but this name does not show on WLAN obviously.
