Windows 10: How do I connect a remote camera to my laptop via WiFi from a WiFi router?

The camera is a Microsoft Lifecam HD-3000 USB plugThe OS is Windows 10 pro v22H2The router is a Asus RT-N12The camera works fine via USB to laptopCurrently the router is connected to internet via POE injector to a wifi radio mounted outside on top of a stick and the laptop connects to internet via WiFi OR Ethernet cable, without any problemsWhen I pull the lan cable out of the POE and plug-in the camera, The cam is not being powered up as no led lights up.The connection between cam and router lan has a USb to RJ45 adapter in between . This adapter works fine also.So far I have not found a s

Lan disconnects frequently on wifi router

I have a wifi router setup,
internet on my laptop works fine which is connected on wireless
but my pc which is connected through lan with wifi router get disconnected after some time, and to make it work I have to disable and then enable it.

Please help regarding this issue.

I would spend the money to get a decent router that can securely segment your father's laptop connection from the public wifi and get a WAP for each. Sonicwall makes a good product like this. At some point, the diner will have some gear that uses an Internet connection and you'll be mighty glad that gear can't be accessed by anyone using the public wifi.

If you are unable to connect access your wifi router then there must be some problem with connection. I think the following step scan help you to connect it properly to wireless router.

Connect your computer to the wireless router. Although you can access the router wirelessly, it is better to use an Ethernet cable to directly connect to your router so that you can securely adjust router settings. Plug the Ethernet cable into the appropriate Ethernet jack on your computer. Plug the other end of the cable into any one of the open Ethernet ports on the back of your wireless router.

2. Open a Web browser. In the URL address field, enter the IP address for your wireless router. This information should be contained in your router’s manual. If you cannot find it, enter “198.168.1.1” as the address. This is usually the default IP address for most routers.


3. Enter the username and password for your router. This should also be supplied in the router’s manual. If you don’t have this information, go to the RouterPasswords website and find the brand and model of your router. This site lists the default login information for most wireless routers.

4. You should now be able to see your wireless router settings. You can configure your network ports, as well as SSID (wireless network name) and passwords.
