Windows 10: How do i connect to the internet on a newly built PC?

I recently built a new PC and was installing windows 11. I ran into a problem where there is no internet to connect to. I got an adapter but I'm still stuck on a screen with no internet available. What do i need to do?

Issues Connecting Newly Built PC to Ethernet

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right section but I'm having issues getting my newly built PC connected to the Internet. I have an Ethernet cord plugged into my modem and into my PC but Windows is not detecting a connection. Any help is appreciated.

If this is of any help, my MOBO is an MSI Z97 Gaming 5.

I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet connection. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your internet.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key + X Key, select
  Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Connection troubleshooter
