    Hi I have a folder on my desktop with 200 plus folders each with folders in them I want to copy the folder and sub folders names in one go to a notepad file is that possible

    Dir /? gets a list with the number of Directories [old DOS term for Folders] and Files, my list of C:\

    Copy folder and retaining permissions of sub folders

    Hi

    We have a system where to open a job, we copy a template folder which in itself has sub folders. In it there is a sub-folder where not everyone is allowed to see.

    When we copy the template and paste it to create job, all permissions set in the template sub folders are changed to that of parent folder. maybe this example can help.

    Template

    Folder 1 (exclusive permissions)

    Folder 2 (same as parent permissions

    Copy and Paste Template Folder

    Folder 1 (now takes same as parent permissions)

    Folder 2 (same as parent permissions
