Windows 10: How do I correct a problem with linked accounts in Microsoft.com?

AI had to install an HP Printer for a different computer running Windows I think it was Windows 11 but I am not sure, that PC is at another physical location and the organization that owns it did not yet have an email address setup for it.HP required an email account in order to access theirHP's online software setup for the printer. I used my email address and password for Microsoft.com to access the HP setup process.Now My PC and Microsoft account have become renamed and linked to the other computer. They have since the initial setup added their own email address and password which I do

Cannot link/add my Microsoft Account to Local Account

Hello Ken,

Im using Win10 Build 1607 with all latest update.

I also run all related troubleshooters:

• Windows Update
• Store Apps (says i have to login in my microsoft account but thats the problem, i can't)
• Microsoft Accounts

No Problem found. Also the suggestions from Microsoft didnt helped.

 

Remove Microsoft linked account in Windows 10

This question refers to steps 3 and 4 in the thread How to rename the User folder in Windows 10?

The troublesome steps are:

3) Remove original Microsoft linked account

4) Link local account to Microsoft account if you wish

I was stuck on those 2 steps. I couldn't find a way in Windows 10 to remove the Microsoft account.

Any ideas?

 

Microsoft Account not syncing WP8.1

Hi Michael,

We suggest that you manually sync your Microsoft account by following these steps:

• Go to Settings.
• Tap email + accounts.
• Tap and hold your Microsoft account.
• Tap sync.

Check also if you have the correct date and time set on your phone.
