Windows 10: How do I delete devices from Defender Business that no longer exist - Hard Drives removed -...

I have over 500 devices that need to be removed from Defender Business however these devices have been archived and hard drives removed so they are no longer available. We are new to Defender and were doing an upgrade at the same time of deployment so the history of these devices are not needed. How can I get these devices out of Defender Business as they no longer exist anymore.

Method 1

Check and repair disk errors or corrupted file system. This process can fix "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" error caused by bad sectors, virus infection or file system corruption. To do so, follow these steps:

• Back up all of the files on the hard drive (except for the corrupted file).
• Using Search, type CMD.
• From the search results, right-click on Command Prompt and then choose Run as administrator.
• On the Command Prompt window, type chkdsk /f h: (h stands for your hard drive) and then hit the Enter key.
• Delete the corrupted file and check if you'll experience the same error.

Method 2

Format the hard drive. You can manually format the hard drive to permanently remove "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" error. These are the steps on how to format an external drive:

• Plug the hard drive into your computer.
• Back up all of the files on the hard drive (except for the corrupted file).
• Open File Explorer and then click This PC.
• Click the external hard drive's name, click on Manage tab and then click on Format.
  
• Click Start and then click OK.

How can I delete 1 of the 2 laptop devices shown on my Microsoft account.

How can I delete 1 of the 2 laptop devices shown on my Microsoft account. All queries and searches indicate that I should select the "manage" option and "remove laptop"
should be shown, however, the only option available is "Contact Support". Even through all my searching the step-by-step instructions show outdated screenshots of menus that no longer exist on your website anymore,
so they are obviously no longer helpful to achieve this goal. Can you suggest how I might be able to delete the device from my account as that laptop has been replaced by this one I have now. Identical to the other one without the touch screen and a different
storage hard drive.
