    How do I delete files that won't let me delete them


    I'm signed into my account on my PC and I'm trying to get rid of the files to Total AV and whenever I try to delete them, I am told I don't have the permission to delete them. I tried to change the permissions but it didn't let me, and I've tried searching the web but couldn't find anything.

    Cannot delete files in Temp

    There are a few files that i cant delete in
    C:\Documents and Settings\1st User\Local Settings\Temp
    which are ~DF567B.tmp, ~DFB71E.tmp, ~ROMFN_000007A8 and Perflib_Perfdata_7a8.dat. And some times there are a few more.
    What are these files and why cant they be deleted?

    I have that same problem. But the file I want to delete contains viruses too. I tried everything you said but nothing works. Could you please send me the secure deleter you wrote?
