Windows 10: How do I delete libraries? (re: Assistive Technology)

I understand that libraries are virtual and do not take up much space, but the visual aspect of folders of the same name in different places confuses me immeasurably. There is no way around the confusion for me.


I need to be able to go back to the old structure pre-libraries. How do I do this?


Maybe there is an Assistive Technology version of Windows 10 without libraries for people with these kinds of visual disabilities. I am hoping there is a solution for people like me.

Delete a Library in Windows 10

I would suggest you to restore the Libraries and then try deleting the Library folder.

Follow the below steps.

• Press Windows + E keys from the Keyboard to open the
  File Explorer.
• Locate Libraries from the left pane.
• Right click on Libraries and select Restore default libraries option from the list.

Please delete everything in my library

Deleting contacts from Windows 10


When you say Windows Mail Live are you referring to Mail app or Windows Live Mail?

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Open Windows Live Mail.
• Press Ctrl + 3 using your keyboard. Right-click on the contact to delete it if it is a single contact.
• Highlight all contacts by pressing Ctrl + A.
• Click Delete located on the Ribbon bar.
• Click OK when you see the message These contacts will also be deleted from Hotmail, Messenger, and other Windows Live services.

After following the steps above, all your contacts that you have manually added to your account will be deleted however, contacts coming from third-party sites such as Facebook will not be deleted unless you remove Facebook from your account.

For Mail app:

Open People app then delete the contact.
