Windows 10: How do I delete old windows 10 update files? I have a 32 gb SD with win 10 and almost...

Any ideas? There's a folder in my C drive called windows.old but it won't delete because of permissions (there's only one account and I have admin ppowers)

Win 10 Anniversary Update does not show in Windows Update

i have a windows 10 tablet (10 inch) with just a 32 gig drive.. it managed the last full upgrade okay.. but it did have around 16 gig free..

you dont really need the upgrade and as long as windows is happy letting you stay on build 1511 i would leave it at that..

i am just about to buy another 7.5 inch tablet to use as an ebook reader.. it comes dual boot with win 10 and android on it.. it also has the now very common 32 gig solid state drive and for sure wont come with the latest windows build on it.. i will see what happens when i first fire it up.. he he

i think it all comes down to how much free space you have on the system drive.. enough for windows to do it and it does it.. not enough and it wont.. 32 gig win 10 tablet machines are now quite common.. installing stuff on the micro sd drive such machines come with seems to be the answer.. mine takes up to 128 gig micro sd cards..

you can also move all the user files and apps to the micro sd drive.. this frees up space on the main system drive.. always leave the sd card in place..

Win 10 1607 update

Installed the update manually at the the moment everything is bueno.
It seems that Microsoft has a big problem in there update department windows 7 update has problems win 8 update has problems. Windows 10 update is so-so.
