  1. How do I disable app side bar when opening a new tab?

For some reason now whenever I open a new tab there is an annoying side bar that is showing apps that I don't even have when just last night there was nothing. I don't think it has to do with my settings cause from last night to now I didn't change them so can someone please tell me what to do so I can remove those stupid apps and the annoying side bar on my new tab page.

    :)

  2. Disable new search bar in Outlook 365

OK. There is a way to disable this new search box in Microsoft Office 365. For Outlook:

    1. Open Outlook 365.
    2. On the lower left-hand corner click options.
    3. In the User Interface options under the General Tab, click the checkbox Collapse the Microsoft Search box by default.
    4. Click OK.

The search box will now disappear. However, disabling this option would only work on that application. If you open Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, you will need to do these same steps to disable the search box (if present) as well. Let me know if this works for you.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. How do I disable app side bar when opening a new tab? :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

  4. How do I disable app side bar when opening a new tab?

How to disable tabs in Explorer 10?

I think there is no way to disable it like in older versions. Tabbed browsing is the standard nowadays.

But you can use just 1 tab and open everything in new window if you like it better.
