Windows 10: How do I disable hibernation in Windows S mode

How do you disable hibernation in windows s mode? I know how to do it usually - you open a command prompt, and I think you have to open the command prompt with administrator privileges, then type `powercfg -h off`, or it might be `powercfg.exe -hibernate off`. You get the idea.

Problem is, you can't open a command prompt on Windows if it's in S mode. Is there another way of turning hibernation off that doesn't require me permanently disabling s mode just for this one thing? Ideas? Thanks!

Cannot disable Hibernate

Hibernate mode

I have my laptop set to hibernate mode when I close the lid. It worked fine with Windows 8 but since the upgrade to Windows 10 the laptop has no power after closing the lid and opening it hours later. In settings, it does show that it is suppose to go
into hibernate mode when lid is closed.

Any suggestions?

Windows 7 sleep mode shutsdown

Windows can be configured to eventually wake back up and go into hibernation. It's possible that it's not hibernating properly.

I suggest turning off hibernation and seeing where that gets you.
