    How do I disable Parental Control via PC?


    hey, so I've had this issue for as long as I had my xbox account on W10. Basically, it says I have parental control activated, which disables a lot of options for Forza Horizon 3 and 4, I looked everywhere on how to disable it via PC since I don't own an xbox one and i'm not planning on buying one, but nothing has helped. I've ofcourse tried the official Microsoft troubleshooting guides, but whenever I clicked on a link, it sent me back to a page telling me how to disable parental control. Any link I tried going to from these very pages just wouldn't work. To fix the issue with Forza Horizon 3 I had to ask one of my friends to log in to his Xbox One with my account to disable it. It took us hours to do so but in the end we fixed it. Now I wanted to play Forza Horizon 4 with some friends and the issue is back. I do not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a console just to change one option. If you know anything on how to fix this, please tell me, I've been trying to fix this issue for 2 weeks now, it's almost useless to play FH4. Thank you for reading.

    Parental Controls aren't working

    Hi,

    The issue could be because of corrupted files. I suggest you to delete the corrupted files yourself and see if it helps

    to resolve the issue, please follow these steps:

    1) Make sure your children are signed out of any monitored accounts.

    2) Sign in with an administrator account and find the folder that contains the corrupted files.

    There are two ways to do this. The easiest way is to enter the complete file path:


    • On the Start screen, type C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Parental Controls and press Enter.

    • If you’d rather open each folder individually, follow these steps:
    a. Go to This PC

    b. Open C:, open the
    ProgramData folder, open the Microsoft folder, open the
    Windows folder, and open the Parental Controls folder.

    3) Delete all contents of the Parental Controls folder.

    This will delete any corrupt files. Your settings will be downloaded again from familysafety.microsoft.com the next time you sign in.

    To disable your Parental Control, please follow the steps:

    1. Go to the Control Panel from the Windows Start menu.

    2. Click User Accounts.

    3. Click Parental Controls.

    4. Click on your account photo.

    5. Choose Parental control off.

    Parental Controls for Windows 10

    Kindly follow these steps to try removing or disabling Parental Controls. Make sure that you are the Administrator and you are logged in as Administrator to do the steps:

    1. Go to the Control Panel from the Windows Start menu.

    2. Click User Accounts.

    3. Click Parental Controls.

    4. Click on your account photo.

    5. Choose Parental control off
