    How do I disable per-app brightness?


    I use a windows laptop and it seems like every application "remembers" the brightness it was at. If I launch a game, say, TF2, the brightness suddenly drops down to minimum. When I then launch it when my windows brightness is low, say in the evening, the brightness suddenly goes to the max as that is what it was set to before. Is there a way to disable it? Is this even a windows issue?I've been searching for a while but didn't get a good response. I've even called windows support, and they escalated me to a 3rd tier tech support, then told me they'd get back to me and never got back to me.

    Brightness Control not working in Windows 10

    Hi Ella,

    To adjust the brightness, see the steps below:

    • Go back to Power Options, and tick on the High performance.
    • See if you can adjust the brightness.

    If this not work, we highly suggest that you create an Administrator account, and re-do the steps above.

    Method 2: Built in Troubleshooter.

    Please follow the steps below:

    • Type “Troubleshooting” on the Windows Search bar and hit enter.

    • Click on Printer. Please provide a password if asked for it and click ok. (Follow the onscreen instructions)
