  1. How do I disable the Alt+Shift shortcut that changes screen settings in windows 10?

I do not know why this setting exists, or who changes their screen settings so much that they required it to be bound to its own shortcut, but it has been a great deal of unmeasurable irritation over the last few months. Every time I accidentally hit this cursed combination I am forced to cycle through the settings of "Light, Contrast, Bright, Vivid, Intense, Dimmed, Opaque" and then finally back to normal. It does not help that in many video games, these two buttons are often needed to be pressed at similar times making this process inevitable.

    :)

  2. Why the hell was SHIFT+ALT replaced by CTRL+SHIFT to change keyboard layouts (with the last updates ?)

Hi, my name is Kelly, and I'm an independent consultant and I'm here to help.

I understand that you are frustrated with the change in the keyboard layout switching shortcut from SHIFT+ALT to CTRL+SHIFT. It can be challenging to adapt to a new shortcut, especially when it conflicts with another common shortcut you use.

The reason for this change is that the CTRL+SHIFT shortcut is more commonly used across different applications and operating systems, making it a more standardized and universal option. However, I understand that this change has caused inconvenience for users like yourself who are used to using SHIFT+ALT.

If you want to change the keyboard layout switching shortcut back to SHIFT+ALT, you can do so by following these steps:

Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language.

Under the "Preferred languages" section, click on "Options" next to the language you want to change the shortcut for.

Click on "Add a keyboard" and select the keyboard layout you want to use.

Click on "Advanced keyboard settings" and scroll down to the "Switching input methods" section.

Click on "Change language bar hot keys" and select "Between input languages" from the list.

Click on "Change Key Sequence" and select "Not Assigned" for both "Switch Input Language" and "Switch Keyboard Layout".

Click "OK" to save your changes.

After following these steps, you can use SHIFT+ALT to switch between keyboard layouts on your Windows device. I hope this helps alleviate some of the frustration you have been experiencing.

Alt + Shift + PrtScn changes contrast, how do I reset this?

    Hello Sprinkle, *Smile

The left Alt + left Shift + Print Screen shortcut will toggle on/off High Contrast. You should be able to press the same keys to turn it off. Otherwise. you can use an option in the tutorial below to change the High Contrast settings for how you want.

Turn On or Off High Contrast Mode in Windows 10

In addition, you could use an option in the tutorial below to disable the left Alt + left Shift + Print Screen shortcut keys to prevent mistakenly turning on/off High Contrast.

  4. How do I disable the Alt+Shift shortcut that changes screen settings in windows 10?

Alt + Shift shortcut does not change the keyboard language

Like I said, these shortcuts do work except Left Shift + Alt

I'm not interested in the rest of these keyboard shortcuts, but only Left Shift + Alt which I am used to using on a daily basis.

    This is not a solution.
