Windows 10: How do I disable the closed captions displaing when playing a video with in windows 10?

I navagated threw the settings/ease of access/ closed captions. on right pane, its been said to change all to default. I have done this and it still displays when I come accross a video. So again, How do I disable the closed captions?

To turn on closed captioning:

On a Windows 10 PC that’s playing a video, right-click or tap-and-hold anywhere on the video. A menu bar will appear at the bottom of the screen. If closed captioning is available, a CC icon will be displayed.

Tap or click the CC icon.

Tap or click the language you want to see closed captions in. Closed captioning will now appear on your screen.

Note If closed captioning is not available for the video, a pop-up window will display “Not available.”

how do I turn on closed captioning for videos?

It's not so much the version of Windows you have but what software you're using to play the video.

If you're using Windows Media Player in Windows 7,

• Click Play (if you don't see the "Play" menu either press the ALT key to see the Menu Bar temporarily or just press ALT+P).
• Select "Lyrics, captions, and subtitles" and then
• Click "On if available"

If that doesn't work, you probably will be able to turn on closed captions (if they are available in your video) by using free VLC Media Player:

In VLC: Click Subtitle > Subtrack > Closed caption 1
