Windows 10: How do I disable the feature that mutes all audio when I'm in an app that uses my microphone?

I just got a new computer and I've been experiencing issues with the audio. Whenever I open an app that uses my microphone, all of the other sounds on the computer are automatically muted. I'm using a Bluetooth headset and I have windows 10. I've tried various solutions to this problem including going to the communications tab in the properties of my headset and disabling the feature that mutes sounds during calls, but that hasn't worked either. The only way I've found to help with this is by disabling my microphone altogether, but its not the most practical solution. I've been struggling wit

Easy enable/disable microphone?

My bro just got a microphone and I was wondering if there's an easy way to enable or disable it. I know you can right click on the volume icon, click on select recording devices then select the microphone, then click properties, then click on levels, and mute it - but that's just way too many steps, I'm looking for a more obvious and much easier way to do it.

This only happens when I play the game squad.

It'll turn on the widget on the bottom right saying "this application is using the microphone"

However, when it does, all audio is muted even on the game itself. When I turn off the mic app itself, everything is fine, however, this disables me from using the microphone whatsoever even if I turn it back on.

muting microphone

i am still having the same problem with the microphone reverting to a muted state after restart.
the thing is there are 2 microphone drivers (for some reason),when i unmute the muted mic driver i can make a sound and i see that it is recognized but not by the driver i just unmuted.
