Windows 10: How do I disable the new "Favorites" and "Shared" panel on Windows Explorer?

How do I disable the new "Favorites" and "Shared" panel on Windows Explorer? It's useless and I can't find a way to disable it. It shows below "Quick Access", which I also never use.

  Are you referring to Microsoft Edge Browser/internet Explorer favorite?
  

The favorite that you are referring is Edge or Internet Explorer browser, I would suggest to clear cookies and history or right-click on the list which you want to remove by selecting delete.

Follow the steps on how to clear cookies.

To view your browsing history, select Hub >
History. To delete it, select Clear all history, choose the types of data or files that you want to remove from your PC, then select
Clear.

Note: applicable to Edge browser.

For internet Explorer follow the steps below.

  Open Internet Explorer, Click on the favorite menu.
  
• 
  Choose “Organize favorite”, click on favorite you wish to delete.
  
• 
  Click on delete which can found below.

Welcome and thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. Welcome to Windows 10 family. Please provide us following information:

1) Are you reffering to favorites in Internet Explorer or something else?

2) If this is about browsers, which browser are you referring to?



I would suggest you follow the steps and check.

Just run this %userprofile%\Favorites from the run command create a folder on the pc which has the favorites then have the other computers on the network access that folder and then copy and paste to that computers favorites
folder. Rinse and repeat for each computer on the network.

Create a new folder:

Or you can create a bookmark on the computer that has all the favorites then on the other computer have them import then navigate to wherever you saved the bookmark to.You cannot synchronize the favorite’s folder on one computer to another
it would have to manually done.

Your suggestion does not work. It did work on Windows 7.
